The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
